Leslie Wannamaker has been in ministry at Renaissance Church from the moment she and her family first attended the church. She began as a children’s ministry volunteer and has also served as an assistant to the children’s pastor, ministry team leader, small group leader, and various other ministry positions. Leslie is currently the database administrator and connections ministry leader.
As a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, Leslie studied special education at East Carolina University and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BA in English Education. Her career began as a high school teacher and she continues to be a tutor for local students. She and her husband, Duncan, live in High Point with their two boys.
Renaissance Church was founded in High Point in 2008 by lead pastor Jason Goins. From the beginning, community outreach and assisting those in need has been a priority for the church, which operated a weekly food bank starting in 2010. In 2015, the church moved to Jamestown, but its commitment to serving the community remains strong. The church is passionate about sharing the love of God with those around them, and its weekly food pantry is just one way it does that. Beginning in 2021, Renaissance Church launched CityServe Triad, a partner with CityServe – an international organization that empowers local churches to serve their communities with free clothing, home goods and more. CityServe Triad serves as a hub to service churches across the region.
Renaissance Church meets Sunday mornings at 9:30 and 11:15am at 5114 Harvey Road in Jamestown where everyone is welcome to encounter God in a relaxed, safe, and genuine worship experience.
